Growing the Creator Economy by 116%

In a recent report titled "The Future of Creativity," Adobe announces some insane insight and statistics on the current creator economy. According to the report, the creator space has added over 165 million people since 2020. Reporting that there is now 303 million creators globally, this boom over the last two years has created an even stronger sentiment that the creator economy is here to stay, and it's shaking up other industries, too.

While Adobe's report covers the big picture, they also dive deep into analytics and demographics to give an extremely in depth insider's look into the current state of the creator economy. In their report they cover topics such as how the creator space allows for increased inclusivity and equality across gender and ethnicity, they cover how the future of traditional business will be effected by the creator economy, what monetization looks like for creators across the world and much more. • Over 50% of creators surveyed began posting content over the last two years.

• 23% of surveyed individuals claim themselves as a creator, that's nearly 1 in 4!

• 60% of creators surveyed have full time jobs and create for a passion.

• Only about 14% of the creator space consists of influencers.

• 40% of creators aspire to become business owners.

• Living in an area with a higher concentration of creators, makes happier creators.

• Freedom of expression is the top motivator for today's creatives.

I'm not sure about you, but I've been waiting for this episode for a while now. Being fans of both Cody and Noel over the last five years, it's been incredible watching their journey as creators and entrepreneurs; their success hasn't come with ease, but with consistency and a passion for creation, Cody and Noel have become some of the biggest names in the creator world.

In this video, Colin and Samir chat with Cody and Noel on a variety of topics ranging from how they started their creator journey & getting their first ever brand deals to starting TMG Studios, building custom sets, and navigating the transition from going from a creator to a network. Creator Economy News 🚨

This week in the creator world, TikTok starts testing new features, YouTube may be moving away from their "Hollywood tactics" and 

• TikTok begins testing a new feature that will allow you to view local content specifically. While it may be cool to see places and happenings around your current location, this may also spell trouble for more well known influencers. Did everyone already forget about the Pokemon Go Stampedes?

• DALL·E, the AI program that took the internet by storm just got another update, and this time it's even scarier than the first. DALL·E 2 utilizes deep learning and AI to create images of whatever you can think of, and this second version is more advanced and more accurate than its former model. For now, you can join the waitlist to be among the first to play with this new version, or you can play around with the original version, if you're hounding for some cursed images.

• This Bloomberg article suggests that YouTube is moving away from traditional Hollywood tactics with the departure of YouTube’s Chief Business Officer, Robert Kyncl.

I first stumbled across Calvin's TikTok's while searching for creator economy news. Calvin immediately stood out with his eye-catching edits and on trend topics. With his quick paced information packed TikToks, Calvin focuses on the biggest stories and trends in the creator space, tips on gear, and even shares lessons and learnings from his journey as a creator.

On top of his killer TikTok content, Calvin also hosts a podcast called The Creator Business Show, makes longer form educational content on YouTube, AND works a full time job. Calvin continues to hustle and push his passion for creation out into the world all the while giving other creators fantastic insight and tips to further their careers.
