🔥Using Tinder for Professionalism, TikTok Integrates Google, Streamer Arrested in Japan, and More.
Chinese professionals are using Tinder as a defacto LinkedIn, TikTok shows its belly by letting Google into the mix, an annoying streamer finally gets arrested, and more. This week in creator economy news:
Heyoooooo!
What’s up, creators and creator nerds?! How’s everyone feeling? I’m bummed that I can’t make it to VidCon Baltimore, but I’ll be living vicariously (aka having fomo) through all of you folks that can make it!
Just a reminder, if you enjoy this newsletter every week, consider sharing it with a friend who might also be interested in the creator space! I appreciate all of the support that I can get in growing this newsletter, and a share means the world ❤️

Orbit 🤝 CreatorPad
Collab Alert!
CreatorPad is teaming up with Orbit in an all-new channel to showcase and interview some incredible creators; diving into their spaces, workflows, and mindsets behind their content.
The first episode, created and hosted by Valentin Farkasch, features an incredible guest, David Ritt, a creator and music producer who has grown his YouTube channel to 11K subscribers so far this year. Thanks to his ear and eye-catching content, along with his purpose-built setup, David Ritt enables his creativity from the moment he wakes up.
CreatorPad is excited to collaborate with Orbit this season because we are firm believers in their mission to create connections between creators.
Orbit is the first channel of its kind, built from the ground up by a community of creators for creators with the goal of showing new paths toward creative independence to aspiring and established creators.
This show, hosted by Valentin Farkasch, focuses on breaking down the individual journeys and unique backgrounds of creators, to provide you with insights that will help you on your journey.
The season will run from Sept 25 - Nov 13th featuring 4 unique creators in their Studio Tour and a Podcast Conversation.
Creator Economy News 🚨
This week in the creator world, a streamer arrested in Japan, TikTok integrates Google, CBS matching creators with advertisers, almost all of GenZ wants to shop with AI, a creator launches a fitness platform, Chinese professionals using Tinder like LinkedIn, and more. This week in creator economy news:
With LinkedIn shutting down in China, young Chinese professionals are turning to Tinder for professional opportunities. Could this spell a new opportunity outlet for Tinder? 🔥
Nothing excited me quite like seeing creators make their own brands that align with their content. That’s why Ninja’s recent announcement of Ninja Labs has me pumped! Life isn’t all video games, but it can be gamified. Check out Ninja Labs to get rewarded for your healthy habits. 💪
Sharing this post because it’s insanely insightful and a really fantastic high-level breakdown of the current creator landscape. Cayman Rojas dives into the evolution of talent agencies & Hollywood, the importance of harnessing your skill and standing out, the potential shift that this may have for higher education, and more.

Kwebbelkop backs down on AI, wait no…. yep, no he didn’t… Do you believe AI creators have a fighting chance? NPC streams’ fandom tell me yes, most definitely there’s a market for this 😅
CBS Sports seeks to pair creators with advertisers with the launch of their program, Creator Studio.
I’ve written about TikTok becoming a defacto search platform that could potentially rival Google. Well, it seems like TikTok is fighting misinformation by linking a Google search feature overlay.
88% of GenZ consumers believe that AI can (and will) improve their online shopping experience. Tell me what I want, computer gods.
Livestreamer (and general nuisance) ‘Johnny Somali’ has been arrested in Japan. It isn’t for his racist remarks or disturbing the public like usual, though. This time, he’s been arrested for trespassing.
Creator Spotlight 🔦

Meet Ten Hundred!
Ten Hundred is an artist and a veteran creator who has been posting his insanely impressive art content to YouTube for 14 years, showcasing his artwork, and his career as an artist, throughout their evolutions.
I first caught a Ten Hundred video when he started to renovate his new studio (goals). From design to construction, bringing life to the space, and beyond, Ten Hundred immediately caught my attention with his killer edits, artwork, and energy.
Ten Hundred is the type of dude that I’d love to spend an afternoon with; he has the energy of an older brother (then again, I only have sisters, so idk), who is better at everything you want to be good at. It’s a weird analogy, but as you dive into his content you’ll understand what I mean. 😅
Playing the role of an approachable “teacher,” of sorts, Ten Hun’s videos revolve around the creation of his art and showing you the steps behind completing a full piece.
These amazing pieces of artwork span from super-massive murals to small designs on shoes, wallets, and beyond.
Ten Hun’s breathtaking art paired with captivating editing, pacing, color grading, voice-over, and beyond makes him a super stand-out creator for me. You can tell he cares about every little detail of his creation, from his video production to his artwork.
Definitely go check out Ten Hundred’s content and feel free to get sucked into his studio remodel (the studio sound-treating video was so sick), and let me know what you think!
