Success Isn't a Numbers Game
An audience that cares will always be more powerful than a crowd that doesn’t.
Hellooooo, fellow creators and founders!
I want to thank all of you who left your feedback on the poll in last week’s issue. You all seem to enjoy these shorter, bite-sized thought pieces on the creator and founder space, so let’s keep exploring that path.
I’m excited to announce that this week’s newsletter is supported by Beehiiv yet again, so go ahead and click that link below to support this newsletter ($3.20 per click 🤯) and explore how you can create one yourself.
Thank you as always for the support. Let’s dive in!

Success Isn’t a Numbers Game
We’re all jaded.
Whether we’re talking about content, startups, or beyond, we’ve become collectively blind to the vanity metrics that encompass “successful” endeavors.
We’ve all been conditioned to believe that success is a numbers game. More followers, more customers, more views.
But if you’ve been building anything for long enough, you'll start to realize that chasing these big numbers doesn’t get you what you actually want.
It rarely does.
Through my years as a start-up founder, creator, and scriptwriter for some big-name creators, I’ve found so many discrepancies in the thought that more = better.
The truth is, having a massive audience doesn’t guarantee engagement. More customers don’t mean loyalty. And having thousands of people watching doesn’t mean any of them actually care.
Growth for the sake of growth is just noise.
What really matters is finding the right people. The ones who engage, share, buy, and stick around. The ones who get what you’re doing, who find value in it, and who show up not just because an algorithm fed them your content, but because they genuinely want to be there.
The best businesses, the strongest communities, and the most resilient creators aren’t built on vanity metrics. They’re built on connection. And connection doesn’t scale the same way views or impressions do.
But it’s the connections that last.
At the end of the day, an audience that cares, even if it’s small, will always be more powerful than a crowd that doesn’t.

It’s not you, it’s your platform
Your newsletter content is top-notch. Your social media game is on point. Your aspirations are through the roof. Yet you’re stuck on level one.
We’ve got bad news (and then really good news): your newsletter platform stinks. And beehiiv can get you where you want to be.
Most newsletter platforms leave the growth and monetization aspects of content creation to the creator. But that’s like trying to drive a car with no wheels.
Beehiiv’s platform is built for growth, so you can scale at the speed your content deserves with features like paid subscriptions, referral programs, and an ad network that connects you with global brands like Netflix and Nike.
It’s time to ask yourself: if your newsletter platform isn’t doing enough for you, what are you going to do about it?
