๐ŸŽ“MrBeast Partners with University, Emma Chamberlain Signs Spotify Deal, Corn Kid Returns, and More.

MrBeast partnering with a University to create a new class of creators, Emma Chamberlain signs an exclusive Spotify deal, Tarik the Corn Kid partners for the holiday, and more. This week on CreatorPad:

Welcome to this week's issue of the CreatorPad Newsletter, where we update you on all things CreatorPad and the creator economy!

Happy almost turkey day. 'Tis the season to eat a bunch of food and fall asleep in front of the TV... My favorite pastime. ๐Ÿฆƒ

While Thanksgiving is tomorrow, food and family aren't the only things we're celebrating this year. This week we finally launched our main product, our newly revamped website (hello beautiful), and just in time for the holiday, our community. ๐Ÿ˜Œ

So jump into this week's newsletter before you sign off for the long, tryptophan-filled weekend to read up on the latest in the creator economy. In this issue, we tackle our community launch, MrBeast partnering with a University to create a new class of creators, Emma Chamberlain signing an exclusive Spotify deal, and more. This week on CreatorPad:

CreatorPad's Community is Open! ๐Ÿค

Just in case you missed Monday's newsletter, WE LAUNCHED OUR COMMUNITY!!

I wanted to drop another announcement in this week's newsletter because we want all of our fantastic readers (yes, you), to join our community and begin chatting and sharing learnings with other passionate creators in the space. So if you haven't yet, please join and introduce yourself, you'll be among the first users on the platform! Now, if you missed the announcement, learn more about the community below. ๐Ÿ˜Ž

One of my biggest pet peeves with the creator space is that it is so lonely. Whether you're an editor, a video creator, a producer, an audio engineer (or probably all those plus more), there aren't many people who you can speak with about this stuff.

Yea, your friends may be interested in how your work is going, but how often can you have a conversation for hours on end about production or even specific creators? If you vent about things that bug you, does anyone really understand why you want to throw your Mac out the window after Premiere crashed for the 12th time on the same project?

Probably not, but on CreatorPad, you can find a community of creators who are all in a similar boat to you, navigating a similar journey. We hope that through this community, we can develop the place for budding and experienced creators alike to connect, collaborate and grow together.

So hop into our community and say hello, and be sure to hop into a local chat to find creators in your area!

MrBeast Partners with a University ๐ŸŽ“

MrBeast launches an educational partnership for students at East Carolina University who are passionate about content creation.

Are we seeing the beginning of the rise in creators merging with traditional education? My guess is that while ECU may be the first, they're not going to be the last university partnering with huge names in the creator space.

With this partnership, MrBeast plans to provide education and insight into topics such as editing, shooting, analytics, and other aspects of YouTube. Focusing on these topics, MrBeast doesn't plan to make "the next MrBeast," but instead, he hopes to build out a highly skilled and trained workforce for those who want to work on the production end of content creation in the future.

While this is certainly a way for MrBeast to build out his Rolodex of next-generation editors & and producers, in general, this is a fantastic way to instill best practices in the up-and-coming creator economy workforce. I believe that as the creator space continues to grow and more students want to work in the creative realm, we will see an influx in these partnerships between colleges and creators.

It also leads me to believe we may begin seeing opportunities for even younger students who are interested in the space. Why not teach these skills to students in high school or even primary schools?

Do you think we should start teaching the younger generation about content creation? And if you had this opportunity in school, would you have taken it? I know I would have!

Creator Spotlight ๐Ÿ”ฆ

While writing this newsletter, I've been listening to the smooth sounds of Sebastian Rios, TJ Reddick, and Abdias Armenteros, the trio who make up New Jazz Underground.

New Jazz Underground is a straightforward channel that gives you, well, some new jazz! I stumbled on their channel when sipping a coffee one fall morning, and needless to say, I've been here ever since. An amalgamation of classic jazz styles married with a new feel and energy brought by the group creates atmospheric, leg-bouncing, head-bopping tracks that will keep your mind moving.

If you're a jazz fan or just a fan of music in general, go check out New Jazz Underground for a fresh spin on classic sounds. I can't wait to keep listening to their tracks and watch them blow up. When's the first tour, boys?!

Keep killin' it!
