๐Ÿคฏ TikTok Banned in the U.S.? Creator to Deliver Speech at MIT, All the Trend Rollups, We Need YOUR Help, & More

This week in the creator world, A bill was introduced to ban TikTok in America, YouTuber Mark Rober is set to deliver MIT's 2023 commencement speech, lots of year-in-review trends rollups are being released, we want some feedback on our YouTube content and more. This week in the creator economy:

Welcome to this week's issue of the CreatorPad Newsletter, where we update you on all things CreatorPad and the creator economy!

So I drafted this entire newsletter, and this AM, less than three hours from this going live, the ENTIRE thing was deleted. Poof, vanished into thin air. This is a reminder for all of you creators, especially writers, CREATE BACKUPS. It will be well worth it in the end, I promise. ๐Ÿ™ƒ

Anyways, enough of my ranting. Here's this week's (rough) newsletter. ๐Ÿ˜…

This week in the creator world, YouTuber Mark Rober is set to deliver MIT's 2023 commencement speech, lots of year-in-review trends rollups are being released, we want some feedback on our YouTube content and more. This week in the creator economy:

Creator Invited to be MIT's Commencement Speaker ๐Ÿ‘ฉโ€๐ŸŽ“๐Ÿง‘โ€๐ŸŽ“

YouTube sensation and scientist Mark Rober has been invited to deliver Massachusetts Institute of Technology's 2023 commencement speech.

The former NASA engineer turned to a career in YouTube, creating enthralling experiment videos that adhere to the kid in all of us (hell yea I wanna watch an egg fall from space).

Amassing over 23 million subs, Rober has created some of YouTube's most viral content while also teaching millions of viewers to become interested in a topic that many students are uninterested in: engineering and science.

"The greatest teachers bring a subject to life in an irresistible way,โ€ says MIT's President L. Rafael Reif. Creators like Rober are doing exactly that; forming new, interesting, and hands-on approaches to learning about these nuanced topics.

Having the opportunity to learn from a passionate and excited teacher is sometimes hard to come across, which is what makes Rober's videos even more enticing. Mark Rober's videos allow people of all ages to engage and learn from someone who is obsessed with science and engineering and wants to share that passion with you.

From MrBeast is launching courses at East Carolina University, to Rober delivering this speech, we are shown yet another example of how creators are beginning to become involved in education systems.

Here at CreatorPad, we also believe that education from, by, and for creators is among the most important next step in forming the next generation of great internet storytellers. Just as MIT understands, learning from the best and the brightest who are bringing innovation to the table is the most effective way to consume knowledge and up your game in today's world of vast content creation.

I am the shillin' villian...

We want your feedback! One of our most recent videos has gotten some great responses and we would love for you to check it out and let us know what you think as well!

This video is about Boogie2988 and his fall from fame. Boogie went from the top of the YouTube charts with viral hit after viral hit, and today he is losing 10,000-50,000 subscribers monthly.

In this episode, Alex and Dimi take some time to dissect the situation, they go into their favorite moments from Boogie's channel, as well as their overall concerns about this fall from fame.

So please, let us know what you think of our video! Any feedback is super appreciated, and a Like, Comment, and Subscription go such a long way in helping us grow our channel (and it's free)!

We're also trying to hit 200 subs by the end of 2022, so help us reach our goal and share with a friend if you enjoy the video! ๐Ÿ˜Ž๐Ÿค

I wanted to get in the holiday spirit by pushing some positivity and featuring a creator who does the same. ๐Ÿ˜Œ

Choto is a creator who has amassed 1.1M followers and tens of millions of views across his TikTok videos.

Beginning his content journey by pushing a positive mindset, sharing learnings from books that he's read, to man-on-the-street style content; Choto found his bread and butter when he started posting his NoteToStrangers series in March.

By simply passing notes of positive words to strangers and filming their reactions, Choto has gained a massive following through this series and has even started selling note cards of his own to allow fans to take part in the spread of positivity.

Choto is absolutely killing the game while embodying the many trials a creator has to go through before finding their niche.

Keep up the awesome work and keep pushing that P, Choto!! ๐Ÿ™Œ
